Tay Tay Swifty, Lil Miss Shooter and Rival Karen collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. Kraken Scar and Maddingley Magic collided on the first turn, checking Maddingley Magic. Keep A Bit clipped the heels of Kraken Scar on the home turn. Kraken Scar turned its head to the inside approaching the winning post.
Rival Karen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left back and right deltoid muscles. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Kraken Scar underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 12 and was found to have a left chest and left back muscle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr K.Eyles regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Kraken Scar was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Eyles pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Scar was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
