Steward's Report
Essential persons (both staff and participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore face masks, observed social distance requirements and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
A pre-race sample was taken from Rev Up Rocco.
Lulu Osti was quick to begin.
Coraline Bale and Rev Up Rocco collided soon after the start. Lulu Osti and Diva's Secret collided approaching the first turn. Zulu Cha Cha and Burgin Baby colided on the first turn checking Zulu Cha Cha. Burgin Baby, Lulu Osti and Diva's Secret collided approaching the home turn checking Lulu Osti, Diva's Secret and Sicilian. Coraline Bale raced wide approaching the home turn checking Rev Up Rocco. Zulu Cha Cha and Lulu Osti collided on the home turn checking Lulu Osti; Diva's Secret and Sicilian were severely checked as a result. Lulu Osti, Diva's Secret and Coraline Bale collided entering the home straight. Lulu Osti and Coraline Bale collided approaching the winning post.
Diva's Secret underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right wrist and right monkey. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms Loren Dalziel regarding the racing manners of Diva's Secret entering the home straight. After hearing evidence from Ms Dalziel, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.
