Steward's Report
Ride On was quick to begin. Cross Wind was slow to begin. Harsh Jude went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin, 3 lengths. Dr. Wade and Ride On collided on the first turn. Dr. Wade and Ride On collided entering the home straight. Gypsy Andy, Cross Wind, Crown Jimmy and Ultimate Mayhem collided entering the home straight checking Cross Wind. Dr. Wade eased and turned its head outwards in the home straight and collided with Ride On. Gypsy Andy and Harsh Jude collided in the home straight.
Dr. Wade underwent a post-race veterinary examination and revetted at 11:30am and was found to have shin soreness, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms N.Perkins regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Dr. Wade was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Perkins pleaded guilty to the charge, Dr. Wade was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
