Steward's Report
All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
Elephant, Jye's Jet and Diesel Riot were slow to begin.
Cousin's Ace and Dr. Lysandra collided approaching the first turn. Elephant and Jye's Jet collided approaching the first turn. Diesel Riot checked off Dr. Lysandra on the second turn. Lamont Bale and Dr. Macie collided on the second turn. Cousin's Ace and Bonnie Too Good collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.
Cousin's Ace underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the foot of the left foreleg. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr B. Nye regarding the racing manners of the greyhound on the third turn. After considering evidence from Mr Nye, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.
A post-race sample was taken from Lamont Bale - the winner of the event.
