Steward's Report
All persons attending today wore facemasks when required, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.
Chasing the Edge - Slow to begin.
Deal Striker - Shifted out approaching the 150m, visibly eased several times and collided with Hurricane Daisy. Deal Striker underwent a post-race veterinary examination following the event and was found to show sign's of thumps and slow recovery, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr Lindsay Fulford regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Deal Striker was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Fulford pleaded guilty to the charge. Deal Striker was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
