Junior Marjen, Twilight Harry and Short Fine Leg collided approaching the first turn. Junior Marjen, Twilight Harry, Short Fine Leg, Hill Top Jonnie and There's My Spot collided on the first turn checking Hill Top Jonnie. Stylish Ken and Twilight Sofia collided on the first turn. Twilight Harry galloped on the heels of Twilight Sofia approaching the home turn, checking Twilight Harry and severely checking Twilight Sofia which fell as a result. Hill Top Jonnie galloped on the heels of Twilight Harry approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Twilight Sofia underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left rear toenail injury. No stand down period was imposed.

Pot Luck Chuck and Sprinkler System collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Perfect Flossy and Holly Fever collided approaching the first turn checking Holly Fever which collided with Sprinkler System and severely checking Sprinkler System. Holly Fever and Pot Luck Chuck collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Wooden Fingers and Mohinga Chase collided on the first turn checking Holly Fever, Pot Luck Chuck, Wooden Fingers and Mohinga Chase, causing Holly Fever and Pot Luck Chuck to race wide.

Jazz Opera – New declared weight of 25.3 kg, last raced at 26.6 kg.

War Time Novelty, Affair Bit and Mallee Swan collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds. Master Avenger and Robbie Rotten collided approaching the first turn. Jazz Opera, Master Avenger and Robbie Rotten collided on the first turn severley checking Jazz Opera. Reloaded faltered on the first turn and pulled up as a result. Affair Bit galloped on the heels of Jazz Opera on the first turn checking Mallee Swan and severely checking Jazz Opera and Affair Bit.

Reloaded underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Tobin Frost was slow to begin.

Rev Up Freddy and Fargo collided soon after the start. Skull and Charlott's Blaze collided on the first turn. Fargo faltered on the first turn and lost ground. Skull, Charlott's Blaze and Rigg collided approaching the home turn severely checking Charlott's Blaze which collided with Rev Up Freddy. Charlott's Blaze and Tobin Frost collided on the home turn. Skull and Tobin Frost collided entering the home straight. Skull, Deedee's Charm and Tobin Frost collided in the home straight. Rev Up Freddy and Rigg raced wide in the home straight.

Fargo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Slippery Swan, On The Mend and Market Scooby were slow to begin.

Tilly Divine and Market Scooby collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn. Kraken Count and Winklee Sprite collided approaching the home turn. Kraken Count, On The Mend and Winklee Sprite collided on the home turn severely checking all three greyhounds.

Princess Vegas and Tiggerlong Rebel collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Cornhill Tiger, Starchie and East Street collided approaching the first turn checking Starchie. Princess Vegas and East Street collided on the first turn. Starchie raced wide entering the home straight. Speaking Spanish visibly eased in the home straight.

Starchie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

The representative of Speaking Spanish, Ms. Paula Boots declined to have the greyhound vetted.

Stewards spoke to Ms. Paula Boots, the representative of Speaking Spanish regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Speaking Spanish was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms. Boots pleaded guilty to the charge, Speaking Spanish was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
