Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Dr. Matrix upon arrival at the course.
The start was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to holding for an Ascot gallops race.
Dr. Matrix and Leggero collided soon after the start checking Boo Boo Billy, I'm Indigo and Leggero. Boo Boo Billy, I'm Indigo and Leggero collided approaching the first turn checking Leggero. Flying Ocean and Mars Town collided on the home turn. Dr. Matrix and Ysabel Bale collided on the home turn. Flying Ocean and Boo Boo Billy collided entering the home straight. Dr. Matrix and Ysabel Bale collided several times in the home straight. Boo Boo Billy and I'm Indigo collided approaching the winning post severely checking Boo Boo Billy.
Boo Boo Billy underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Dr. Matrix underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ward regarding the racing manners of Dr. Matrix in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Ward, viewing all the available race footage, acting on their observations and taking the greyhound's injury into account, stewards took no further action.
