Ranger Mick and Viking Commander were slow to begin.
Ranger Mick and Stromboli collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Blue Tequila and Piscopo Bale collided several times approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Piscopo Bale galloped on the heels of Stromboli approaching the first turn. Rusty Kingswood and Viking Commander collided on the first turn checking Rusty Kingswood. Rusty Kingswood and Blue Tequila collided entering the home straight checking Blue Tequila.
Blue Tequila underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
