Steward's Report
All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.
Aston Gamble was slow to begin. Quick Lomar and Aston Daiquiri collided approaching the first turn, checking Quick Lomar. Quick Lomar and Rose Danae collided on the first turn, checking Rose Danae. Aston Daiquiri and Bop Music collided approaching the home turn, checking Aston Daiquiri. Aston Gamble lost ground in the home straight.
Aston Gamble underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a abrasion to the right hock and left hind tibial. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr M.Tabb, the handler of Aston Gamble regarding performance in the home straight. In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr Tabb to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Aston Gamble in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
