All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 24 degrees, and the kennel temperature was 18.4 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Spartan Flame, Reservior Frank and Ocean Beast were slow to begin.

Spartan Flame underwent a veterinary examination examination and was re-examined following race 3. Spartan Flame was found to have a right deltoid injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Perfect Flossy and Perfect Treasure were slow to begin.

Distinguish and Aston Camille collided soon after the start.  Perfect Flossy, Perfect Treasure and Mr. Dazzling collided at the 250m mark checking Perfect Treasure.  Maverick Sandy checked off Mr. Dazzling approaching the 100m mark.  Perfect Flossy and Maverick Sandy collided several times from the 50m mark to approaching the winning post. Mr. Dazzling and Aston Camille collided approaching the winning post.

Slim Shadow checked off Make A Pat soon after the start.  Elliott Ness crossed in soon after the start checking Man Cave, Way To Important and Batman's Dreams.  Batman's Dreams and Man Cave collided from the 150m mark to the 50m mark checking Man Cave.  Make A Pat and Elliott Ness collided at the 150m mark.  Way To Important checked off Man Cave approaching the winning post.

Stirling Lights crossed in soon after the start and collided with Garth Vader, Ivanka Tea and Silver Ability.  Silver Ability and Stirling Lights collided approaching the 200m mark checking Stirling Lights.  Silver Ability checked off Our Dreamer approaching the 150m mark colliding with Teofimo and Stirling Lights, causing Silver Ability to stumble.  Ivanka Tea and Garth Vader collided approaching the 150m mark.  Silver Ability lost ground at the 50m mark.  

Silver Ability underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadriceps injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Main Force and My Name's Phil were slow to begin.  

Trickity Click and My Name's Phil collided soon after the start.  Main Force and Trickity Click collided soon after the start.  Rumour Is Fact and Benchester at the 250m mark.  Main Force and Trickity Click collided at the 200m mark causing Trickity Click to stumble.  Rumour Is Fact checked off My Name's Phil at the 50m mark. 

Main Force underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a fractured left hind toe.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Texicali Tiger and Smart As Jack at the 300m mark.  Rack City, Meehan Marlow and Smart As Jack at the 250m mark.  Smart As Jack checked off Gel Blaster at the 200m mark.  Rack City checked off Gel Blaster approaching 150m mark.  Texicali Tiger and Smart As Jack collided approaching the winning post.

Royal Deed was slow to begin.

A post-race sample was taken from Beers On Brody - the winner of the event.

Just In Time – Late scratching at 5:31pm on 12 February 2022 when Nicole Lund reported the greyhound to have Diarrhoea (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
