Trainer Mr W. Bickerton reported to Stewards today that Stewart underwent a veterinariay examination this morning. After multiple xrays a fracture was not detected.  Stewart was found to have bone bruising/jarring of the joint.

Kath's Girl and Bowler's Name were slow to begin.

Kath's Girl crossed to the outside soon after the start. Goolagong and Aston River collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Kath's Girl, Opal Gem and Goolagong collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Bowler's Name checked off Aston River on the first turn. Kath's Girl brushed the running rail on the first turn. Kath's Girl galloped on Bowler's Name on the home turn, severely checking Bowler's Name which subsequently faltered and tailed off.

Bowler's Name underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left tarsal fracture. Bowler's Name was humanely euthanased.
