Steward's Report
All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.
Stewart was quick to begin. Average Axel was slow to begin.
Letter To You, Shadow Giblet and Hurricane Daisy collided approaching the first turn checking Shadow Giblet. Coalville Flyer and Stewart collided on the first turn checking Stewart. Hurricane Daisy and Average Axel collided on the home turn checking Hurricane Daisy which raced wide.
Stewart underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left tarsal fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Coalville Flyer - the winner of the event.
There was no head-on vision available for this event.
Supplementary Report 11/2/2022.
Trainer Mr W. Bickerton reported to Stewards today that Stewart underwent a veterinariay examination this morning. After multiple xrays a fracture was not detected. Stewart was found to have bone bruising/jarring of the joint.
