A pre-race sample was taken from Mow A Meadow.
Aston Tribute was quick to begin. I’m Back and Mow A Meadow were slow to begin. I’m Back and Enabler collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Inga Ollie and Small Soldier collided on the first turn. Oda May and Small Soldier collided on the first turn checking Small Soldier. I’m Back and Knight Zipper collided approaching the winning post.
I‘m Back underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on a right hind toe and a sand toe on the right hind foot. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. David McKenzie regarding the racing manners of I’m Back approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr. McKenzie, viewing all available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
