The Stewards spoke to Mr Ron Wood, the trainer of Ron's Lament in relation to the bona fides of the withdrawal from this race.

Amlin Princess was quick to begin. Popyrin was slow to begin. Popyrin galloped on Ocean Jewel soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Hi Ena and Bit Shakey collided approaching the first turn.
