Fly To Victory – Late scratching at 9:59am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. George Kantzidis was fined $100.
See Me Willow was quick to begin.
All Inn June and Got A Choice collided approaching the first turn checking Got A Choice. Zanzibar Icon turned it's head inwards and marred Bag Secured in the home straight checking Zanzibar Icon.
Zanzibar Icon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left fore limb and soreness in the left hip. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. Marien Sullivan, the representative of Zanzibar Icon regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Zanzibar Icon was charged with marring. Ms. Sullivan pleaded guilty to the charge, Zanzibar Icon was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
