Calix Bale was quick to begin.  Orson Emmy, Trendy Touchdown and Trending Quarter collided soon after the start.  Sin City Agogo was tightened for racing room approaching the first turn. Kanji Length, Orson Emmy and Trending Quarter collided approaching the first turn checking Orson Emmy and Trending Quarter.  Orson Emmy and Sin City Agogo collided on the second turn checking Sin City Agogo.  Kanji Length and Trendy Touchdown collided on the third turn.  Sin City Agogo raced wide in the home straight.

Fabriola Duran was quick to begin.  Ozark Bale, Indy Ghost and Zippy Volkswagon collided soon after the start and again on the first turn checking Zippy Volkswagon.  Smokey Cape checked off Gold Symbol on the home turn.

Aragog and Arizona Gold were slow to begin.  Thunder Tears and Call Me Buster collided approaching the first turn.  Thunder Tears, Call Me Buster and Aston Adonis collided on the first turn checking Aston Adonis, severely checking Call Me Buster which raced wide as a result.  Aragog contacted the running rail on the home turn.  Call Me Buster raced wide in the home straight.

Graclyn Bale was quick to begin.  He Shall Rodger and Trending Rookie were slow to begin.  Trending Rookie stumbled soon after the start.  Trending Rookie and Do It collided soon after the start and again on the first turn.  Grace's Spirit and Weblec Eagle collided on the first turn.  He Shall Rodger and Graclyn Bale collided on the second turn.  Weblec Eagle, He Shall Rodger, Graclyn Bale and Trending Rookie collided on the second turn checking He Shall Rodger, Graclyn Bale and Trending Rookie.

Following the running of Race 5, Stewards in consultation with the MGRA staff, downgraded the track to Slow, retrospectively to Race 3.

Gypsy Wyong was quick to begin.  Redzin, Dundee Ember and Mr. Speaker collided soon after the start.  Black Hawk Jet, Carla Veloso, Hushing Dusk and Rothwell Prince collided on the first turn checking Rothwell Prince.  Carla Veloso and Hushing Dusk fell as a result and took no further part in the event.  Mr. Speaker was severely checked as a result. 

Carla Veloso was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Fabriola Zad was quick to begin.  Fabriola Zad and Carry On Star collided on the first turn checking Carry On Star.  Bobby The Brute and Daph's Zac collided on the first turn checking Bobby The Brute.  Carry On Star and Daph's Zac collided on the third turn.  Mr. Fix It and Nihari Bale collided several times in the home straight.
