CRANBOURNE TRACK LIGHT HARROWED – 22ND JULY 22/07/2021

Essential persons (both staff and participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore face masks, observed social distance requirements and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race day functions and operations.

Mini Higgins was quick to begin.  Leo Giblet was slow to begin.

Odessa Rock checked off Mt. View Bee approaching the first turn.  Mt. View Bee, Leo Giblet and Mini Higgins collided on the first turn causing Mini Higgins to cross out and collide with Here Runs Katie, checking both greyhounds.  Mini Higgins and Here Runs Katie race wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Elusive Kel.

Sicilian was slow to begin.

Burgin Beauty, Barbarian and Aviana Bale collided soon after the start checking Burgin Beauty and Aviana Bale.  Barbarian and Diva's Secret collided on the first turn.  Burgin Beauty and Aviana Bale collided approaching the home turn severely checking Burgin Beauty.  Diva's Secret checked off Aviana Bale approaching the winning post.

Witchie's Gas was quick to begin.  Tigers On Fire was slow to begin.

Coalville Jewel, Matchbox Queen and Bruree Fairy collided on the first turn severely checking Bruree Fairy.  I'm Ace Osti checked off Miss Angel Di on the home turn.  Tigers On Fire checked off Bruree Fairy on the home turn.  Good Boy Colombo checked off Miss Angel Di entering the home straight.  Bruree Fairy and Tigers On Fire raced wide in the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Witchie's Gas - winner of the event. 

Skinny Legend and Predator were quick to begin.  Zipping Margo was slow to begin.

Taciana, Predator and Skinny Legend collided approaching the first turn causing Skinny Legend to cross out and pull up.  Predator checked off Wilson's way on the first turn.  Predator and Taciana collided in the back straight and again entering the home straight.

Skinny Legend underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to Mr Steven Curtain, the representative regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Skinny Legend was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Curtain pleaded guilty to the charge, Skinny Legend was found guilty and suspended for 12 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Junket Jarrod with Mr Brett Sands and noted their comments.

Violation was quick to begin.  Willow Ash was slow to begin.

Jacky's Eden checked off Bit Of Pepper approaching the first turn.  Willow Ash checked off Junket Jarrod on the first turn.  Sweet Chanelle checked off Junket Jarrod on the home turn.  Violation and Locked And Ready collided entering the home straight checking Violation.

Calabrese Gino – New declared weight of 36.6 kgs, last raced at 35.5 kgs.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Hurricane Keely with Mr Joseph Sultana and noted their comments.

Calabrese Gino checked off Banjo Glitter approaching the first turn.  Lewis Osti and Banjo Glitter collided on the first turn.  Rusty Model checked off Pacific Bar in the home straight.  Lewis Osti and Hurricane Keely raced wide in the home straight.

Hurricane Keely underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a cervico-thoracic injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Panadero Grace was quick to begin.  Why Not Gazza was slow to begin.

Panadero Grace checked off Livia Bale approaching the first turn.  Panadero Grace checked off Take A Rose on the first turn severely checking Panadero Grace.  Midnight Storm and Half A Double collided entering the home straight causing Midnight Storm to collide with Livia Bale and Shaun John, Midnight Storm subsequently pulled up.  Shaun John and Hurricane Miami collided approaching the winning post.

Midnight Storm underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Go Nera was quick to begin.  Romeo Lad was slow to begin.

Lightning Fury and Tinker China collided on the second turn.  All To Mac raced wide in the back straight.  Star Ballerina and Romeo Lad collided approaching the winning post.  Go Nera tired over the concluding stages.  

Go Nera underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind webbing.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Tay Tay Swifty was slow to begin.

Tay Tay Swifty checked off Izuku Bale soon after the start.  Izuku Bale checked off Devon Lass approaching the first turn.  Izuku Bale, Soldier and Hurricane Miss collided on the first turn checking Soldier and Hurricane Miss.  Tay Tay Swifty, Silver Harp and Autumn Lynx collided entering the home straight severely checking Silver Harp. Izuku Bale raced wide in the home straight. 

Hard At It and Totally Balanced collided soon after the start checking Hard At It.  Hard At It, Aston Solar and Voodoo Spirit collided approaching the first turn.  Camaro Zed checked off Mighty Tuscany on the first turn.  Voodoo Spirit checked off Camaro Zed entering the home straight.  Voodoo Spirit and Little Blazer raced wide in the home straight.  

Shaghai Avatar was quick to begin.  Why Not Pockets was slow to begin.

Why Not Pockets checked off So Joe Mac soon after the start.  Freckless Brown and Hurricane Pete collided on the first turn.  Blue Cascade checked off So Joe Mac on the first turn.  Freckless Brown and Why Not Pockets raced wide in the home straight.  

Magic Voyage – New declared weight of 37.0 kgs, last raced a35.9 kgs.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Catching Pen Attendant Mr Max Cameron did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.

Rosta Power was quick to begin.  

Saharrah Blitz, Magic Voyage and Silver Destroyer collided on the first turn causing Magic Voyage to fall and tail off and Silver Destroyer to lose ground.  Chill Out Dusty, Mountain Goat and Bag Of Tricks collided entering the home straight. 

Magic Voyage underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
