Steward's Report

Padrino Rocks and Cornhill Tiger were slow to begin.

Double Tactic and Mohinga Chase collided soon after the start; checking both greyhounds.  Padrino Rocks, Giant's Flash, Jedda Milne, Double Tactic, Mohinga Chase and Cornhill Tiger collided on the first turn; checking Giant's Flash and Cornhill Tiger; severely checking Padrino Rocks, Jedda Milne, Double Tactic and Mohinga Chase.  Giant's Flash visably eased and turned its head out approaching the home turn; checking Giant's Flash and Cornhill Tiger.

Giant's Flash underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg toe ligament rupture injury.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Garry Harding, the trainer of Giant's Flash regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Giant's Flash was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Harding pleaded not guilty to the charge, Giant's Flash was found guilty and suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mohinga Chase underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a right hindleg torn nail injury.  A five day stand down period was imposed.
