Steward's Report
Habib – Late scratching at 4:31 pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37), due to dehydration. A five day stand down period was imposed.
Zipping Martina and Molly Byrnes collided soon after the start. Zipping Martina and Zipping Rafferty collided soon after the start. Zipping Martina shifted out abruptly approaching the first turn and tailed off. Zipping Rafferty, New Jack Swing and Big Gordy collided on the first turn, checking Big Gordy.
Zipping Martina underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 11. Zipping Martina was found to have a right foreleg shoulder muscle injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms Deborah Coleman, the representative of Zipping Martina regarding its performance approaching the first turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Zipping Martina must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
