Steward's Report

All staff & participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of boxing and catching greyhounds. 

Gypsy Seymour – Late scratching at 2.35 pm when Ms. A. Dailly reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. K. Heinrich representing Ms. A. Dailly regarding the late scratching of Gypsy Seymour (Race 1) and Zippy Yamaha (Race 4) this afternoon. Ms. Heinrich stated that both greyhounds had diarrhoea throughout the afternoon and as a precaution both greyhounds were scratched. Ms. Heinrich added that all other runners presented tonight were, in her opinion, fit to race. Stewards also observed at kennelling the weights of all greyhounds presented with no distinct variance noted.  

Revolution and Fabriola Zero were slow to begin.

Weblec Gem and Kanji Nano collided soon after the start. Quest For More and Fabriola Zero collided soon after the start. Quest For More and Weblec Gem collided approaching the first turn checking Fabriola Zero. Weblec Gem checked off Kanji Nano approaching the first turn. Fabriola Zero and Weblec Gem collided approaching the home turn checking Weblec Gem and Mepunga Gem.
