A pre-race sample was taken from Bag Of Tricks.
Black Mintie and Mountain Goat collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Sacred Path and Why Not Pockets collided soon after the start. Lady Elegance and Bag Of Tricks collided approaching the first turn. Sacred Path and Mizuki Rose collided on the first turn. Mizuki Rose, Ebonique, Bag Of Tricks, Lady Elegance and Why Not Pockets collided approaching the home turn checking Ebonique which fell as a result severely checking Lady Elegance. Why Not Pockets contacted the running rail approaching the home turn causing Why Not Pockets and Bag of Tricks to collide checking Black Mintie and Mountain Goat. Bag Of Tricks, Why Not Pockets and Mountain Goat collided on the home turn.
Why Not Pockets underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the front left and right metacarpals and a spike wound to the left hind metatarsal. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Ebonique underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left front foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Lady Elegance underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
A post-race sample was taken from Sacred Path - winner of the event.
