Steward's Report

All persons attending today wore facemasks when required, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Upheaval– New declared weight of 29.4 kg, last raced at 30.8 kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Hurricane Max.

Oh Donna and Soda Bingo was slow to begin.

Max Nipper eased approaching the home turn and collided with Albies Cruiser. Hurricane Max checked off Rich Hips in the home straight. Rich Hips, Hurricane Max and Soda Bingo raced wide in the home straight.

Max Nipper underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 11, no apparent injury could be detected. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Danny McDonald, the trainer of Max Nipper regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Max Nipper was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr McDonald pleaded guilty to the charge, Max Nipper was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
