Locked And Ready was quick to begin. Joe’s Entity, Drakensberg Dot, Tail’s Up, Aston Kayee and Captain Cruiser collided soon after the start. Captain Cruiser crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Tail’s Up. Tail’s Up was checked off Aston Kayee on the first turn. Joe’s Entity contacted the running rail on the first turn and collided with Elswyk Shadow checking both greyhounds. Aston Kayee was checked off Elswyk Shadow approaching the home turn. Tail’s Up crossed out on the home turn. Drakensberg Dot and Aston Kayee collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Locked And Ready raced wide in the home straight.
Joe’s Entity underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
