Fly To Victory – New declared weight of 31.9kg, last raced at 30.7kg.
Stockbroker, Go Jack and Fly To Victory were slow to begin.
Hillbilly Jane clipped the heels of Shining Gem at the 250m mark checking Shining Gem. Explodes To Burn turned its head inwards towards Jerry Buzzard approaching the 50m mark.
Explodes To Burn underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury and a right groin injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Terry Meyer, the trainer of Explodes To Burn regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the 50m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Explodes To Burn was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Meyer pleaded guilty to the charge, and Explodes To Burn was suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
