In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 28.9 degrees, and the kennel temperature was 18.3 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

All persons attending today checked-in, wore face-masks indoors and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Naturalistic - Late scratching at 9.54am when Ms. Tracey Salter reported the greyhound to have an elevated temperature (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Golden Ratio and Forever A Dream were quick to begin.  Gamblin’ Ways and Crumb Snags were slow to begin.  Crumb Snags checked off Hugs And Kisses soon after the start.  Wild Aces Agogo checked off Fleetwood Sam soon after the start.  Crumb Snags checked off Hugs And Kisses approaching the first turn.  Crumb Snags and Wild Aces Agogo collided on the first turn.  Forever A Dream checked off Golden Ratio in the back straight.  Crumb Snags checked off Wild Aces Agogo approaching the third turn.  Gamblin’ Ways, Forever A Dream and Hugs And Kisses collided approaching the home turn.  Gamblin’ Ways and Crumb Snags collided in the home straight.  Crumb Snags and Wild Aces Agogo collided approaching the winning post.

Carry On Star was quick to begin.  Waldemar Bale was slow to begin.  Kepal checked off Carry On Star approaching the first turn checking Uforo Bale, in turn severely checking Kepal and Carry On Star; Carry On Star lost ground as a result.  Kepal and Carry On Star collided approaching the home turn checking Carry On Star.  Carry On Star checked off Kepal on the home turn.

Stewards withheld the "all clear" on this Event to view the lateral and head-on vision of the race to ascertain if greyhounds Uforo Bale (No 7), Carry On Star (No 2) and Waldemar Bale (No 8) were materially affected by a bird which flew into the oncoming field in the home straight.  After viewing all available vision, and in particular the head-on footage, Stewards were of the opinion that whilst Uforo Bale and Carry On Star baulked momentarily, they were satisfied this did not affect the outcome of the positions and placings of the greyhounds namely, Uforo Bale (2nd), Carry On Star (6th) and Waldemar Bale (7th).  As a result, "all clear" was sounded on the placings 6-7-4-1.

Ranako Bale was quick to begin.  El Cazador was slow to begin.  George’s Fancy and It‘s My Party collided approaching the first turn.  El Cazador, It’s My Party, Nikephoros and George’s Fancy collided on the first turn.  Nikephoros, It’s My Party and George’s Fancy collided in the back straight checking Nikephoros.
