An out of competition sample was taken from Invictus Rising on 23 December 2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.
A pre-race sample was taken from Thunder Tears.
Thunder Tears, Westar Aileen, Shima Glow and Call Me Buster collided soon after the start checking Shima Glow, Qwara Bale and Invictus Rising. Westar Aileen and Call Me Buster collided on the second turn. Qwara Bale shifted out and raced wide on the second turn. Thunder Tears checked off Call Me Buster and collided with Invictus Rising on the home turn, checking Invictus Rising.
