All persons attending today checked-in, wore face-masks indoors and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 35.6 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Lady Zeeva was quick to begin. Night Patrol was slow to begin.

Night Patrol and Speak Up collided soon after the start. Jessie's Brew and Speak Up collided approaching the first turn. Jessie's Brew checked off Speak Up approaching the first turn. Lenny's Memory and Night Patrol collided on the first turn and again on the second turn. Speak Up and Levitation collided entering the back straight. Lenny's Memory and Night Patrol collided on the third turn.

Kanji Giant was slow to begin.

Gold Symbol and Grace's Spirit collided soon after the start. Grace's Spirit and Kanji Giant collided soon after the start. Grace's Spirit checked off Fireweed approaching the first turn. Gold Symbol, Zambora Alani and Dr. Xander collided on the first turn, causing Zambora Alani to fall as a result. Lala Ivory, Fireweed and Gold Symbol collided on the first turn. Lala Ivory and Gold Symbol collided approaching the third turn. Fireweed and Grace's Spirit collided on the home turn. Grace's Spirit turned its head inwards in the home straight.

Zambora Alani underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock injury and right foreleg split webbing. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Grace's Spirit underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have shin soreness to the left foreleg and a right foreleg webbing injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. B. Pursell regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Grace's Spirit was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Pursell pleaded guilty to the charge and Grace's Spirit must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zivon Bale was quick to begin.

Painkiller and Foxy Bourbski collided soon after the start. Zivon Bale and Hazey Roy collided approaching the first turn checking Hazey Roy. Zivon Bale and Weblec Raider collided on the first turn. Tough Tears brushed the running rail on the first turn. Zivon Bale and Weblec Raider collided on the second turn checking Zivon Bale and severely checking Hazey Roy. Painkiller and Foxy Bourbski collided on the third turn checking Foxy Bourbski. Tough Tears and Hugo collided in the home straight.

Aston Jonas was slow to begin.

Mepunga Legend and Aston Future collided on the first turn. Osprey Phantom and Orca collided on the first turn checking Osprey Phantom. Aston Jonas, Osprey Phantom and Aston Future collided entering the front straight checking Aston Jonas, Osprey Phantom, Mepunga Legend and Aston Future. Spitfire Striker visibly eased and turned its head outwards entering the back straight and again on the fourth turn. Spitfire Striker and Weblec Gem collided on the fourth turn. Mepunga Legend and Weblec Gem collided approaching the home turn. Spitfire Striker checked off Aston Future on the home turn, colliding with Orca and checking Spitfire Striker, Orca and Weblec Gem.

Spitfire Striker underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left hock. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms. B Robertson-Leech regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the back straight and fourth turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Spitfire Striker was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Robertson-Leech pleaded guilty to the charge and Spitfire Striker must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Indy Matilda and Whistling Bullet collided on the first turn. Well Grounded and Aston Tango collided on the second turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Thunder Tears.

Thunder Tears, Westar Aileen, Shima Glow and Call Me Buster collided soon after the start checking Shima Glow, Qwara Bale and Invictus Rising. Westar Aileen and Call Me Buster collided on the second turn. Qwara Bale shifted out and raced wide on the second turn. Thunder Tears checked off Call Me Buster and collided with Invictus Rising on the home turn, checking Invictus Rising.

Arizona Gold checked off Gypsy Vista soon after the start. Affair Bit and Gypsy Vista collided soon after the start. Scorching Sun and Affair Bit collided approaching the first turn. Scorching Sun, Affair Bit and Gypsy Vista collided on the first turn checking Arizona Gold. Affair Bit and Gypsy Vista collided entering the back straight checking Gypsy Vista. Bag Secured and Scorching Sun collided entering the home straight.

Shall She Charm checked off Raptor approaching the first turn. Starlight Amy, Dewana Milo and You Ember collided approaching the first turn checking Starlight Amy, Dewana Milo and Raptor. Dewana Milo and You Ember collided on the third turn checking You Ember. You Ember and Shall She Charm collided on the home turn. Aston Edwin checked off You Ember in the home straight. 

You Ember underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer's request and was found to have a left monkey and deltoid muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
