In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 31.5 degrees, and the kennel temperature was 19.0 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

All persons attending today checked-in, wore face-masks indoors and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Classic Touch and Giovani collided approaching the first turn. Giovani and Queen Of Stripes collided on the first turn checking Starter's King and severely checking Giovani. Rock The Planet crossed out approaching the home turn checking Starter's King.

Always Diamond and Tower Bell collided on the first turn. Halloumi crossed out on the first turn. Halloumi and Tower Bell collided on the home turn.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to operational requirements.

Huntly Hoon was quick to begin. 

Despicable Nelly crossed in on the first turn checking Yallock Lass. Huntly Hoon crossed out on the first turnand collided with Despicable Nelly checking Huntly Hoon, Despicable Nelly and Wild Junction. Despicable Nelly and Wild Junction collided on the home turn.

Huntly Hoon underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Colpoys regarding the racing manners of Huntly Hoon on the first turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Colpoys, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Rock Icon – Late scratching at 5.02pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr Jason Formosa was fined $100

Tiger Blurton checked off Diamond Cartel on the first turn. Diamond Cartel crossed out in the home straight and checked off Kingy Lights.

Bearing Gold crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Elswyk Suzie, Crazy Old Fool and Mt. View Dodger. Mt. View Dodger checked off Crazy Old Fool on the first turn. Crazy Old Fool and Elswyk Suzie collided on the first turn. Crazy Old Fool and Bearing Gold collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Tigers On Fire and Sicilian collided soon after the start and approaching the first turn checking Tigers On Fire. Under His Spell and Sicilian collided in the home straight.

Morosis and Gunther were slow to begin.

Morosis checked off Morbius approaching the first turn. Morbius and Aunty Mary collided on the home turn checking Aunty Mary. Heaven's Tower collided with Morbius entering the home straight and approaching the winning post.
