Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Parade, Ms S. Evans did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Alinta's Gift, Over Slips and Dimes Ambition collided on the first turn checking Little Winnie, Uranga Bale and Aston Scepter severely checking Dimes Ambition, causing Alinta's Gift and Over Slips to fall as a result. Over Slips visibly eased and turned its head outwards in the home straight.
Alinta's Gift underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right biceps. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Over Slips underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right triangle muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr Robert Hayes regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Over Slips was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Hayes pleaded guilty to the charge, Over Slips was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Dimes Ambition underwent a post-race veterinary examinantion - no apparent injury was reported.
