Steward's Report
Beach Master was a Late scratching at 6.52pm when Ms Shara Quinlan reported the greyhound to have a groin injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Sparkle Debacle was slow to begin.
Coco To Burn, Wisdom and Especial Edit collided on the first turn checking Wisdom. Legasov Bale checked off Our Flying Bolt approaching the home turn. Legasov Bale and Wisdom collided on the home turn. Coco To Burn and Our Flying Bolt collided in the home straight. Especial Edit and Sparkle Debacle collided several times approaching the winning post.
Sparkle Debacle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an inury to the left monkey muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Representative, Mr Abraham Formosa regarding the racing manners of Sparkle Debacle approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr Formosa, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
