Steward's Report
All persons attending today, checked-in and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.
Gotham Diva and Omaha Bale collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Little Beamer and Quintessa Bale collided soon after the start. Rochester Bale and Quintessa Bale collided approaching the first turn. Quintessa Bale visibly eased in the home straight and collided with Rochester Bale. Quintessa Bale and Rochester Bale again collided approaching the winning post.
A post-race sample was taken from Silver Brute - the winner of the event.
Quintessa Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler, Mr George Dailly regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Quintessa Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. G Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Quintessa Bale was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
