All persons attending today, checked-in and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.
An out of competition sample was taken from Later On on 9th December pursuant to GAR 79A.
Gippsland Boy was very slow to begin (3 lengths).
Poppy Choppy, Charlize, Sassy Boo and Later On collided soon after the start. Charlize and Sassy Boo collided approaching the first turn. Got No Bro and Poppy Choppy collided on the first turn. Kira's Choice and Later On collided on the first turn. Poppy Choppy crossed out approaching the home turn and collided with Kira's Choice checking Kira's Choice. Kira's Choice and Later On collided on the home turn. Kira's Choice raced wide in the home straight.
Kira's Choice underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Gippsland Boy underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
