Steward's Report
All persons attending today, checked-in and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.
Kennels closed after the advertised time due to the late arrival of several trainers due to significant traffic congestion from a breakdown on the Westgate Bridge.
Oldrik Bale and Cuddle Me Costa collided soon after the start. Hachey Boy and Maximum Tanner collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Stay Together and Cuddle Me Costa collided soon after the start. Stay Together, Cuddle Me Costa, Oldrik Bale and Ormonde collided approaching the first turn checking Oldrik Bale and Cuddle Me Costa. Maximum Tanner checked off Hachey Boy on the first turn. Oldrik Bale and Cuddle Me Costa collided on the first turn checking Cuddle Me Costa. Jasper Bale and Cuddle Me Costa collided in the home straight. Maximum Tanner and Maximum Shirley collided in the home straight.
Maximum Tanner underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Jordan Cooper regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Cooper, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued.
