A pre-race sample was taken from Curnow's Blues.
Stay Together and Curnow's Blues collided approaching the first turn. Kevlar and Stay Together collided on the first turn. Kevlar contacted the rail on the first turn and collided with Stay Together. Zambora Flame and Kinimakatka collided on the first turn; checking Kinimakatka and Stay Together; severely checking Curnow's Blues and Fend Them Off; causing Curnow's Blues and Fend Them Off to fall. Kevlar and Kinimakatka collided approaching the home turn. Stay Together and Kevlar collided on the home turn.
Kevlar underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have fractured tail. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Curnow's Blues underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
