Joyous Hope– Late scratching at 8.42am due to the greyhound not being presented (non–arrival)  (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr K Coleman regarding the circumstances surrounding the non arrival & issued a warning.

Monyarra Minstrel and Kanji Olympic were quick to begin.

Dementor, Cosmetic Rose and Buzz Out collided soon after the start, checking Dementor. Time Turner, Cosmetic Rose, Buzz Out and Wid Keyra collided approaching the first turn. Kanji Olympic underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Ms.Donna Knight, the trainer of Kanji Olympic regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Kanji Olympic was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. D Knight pleaded guilty to the charge, Kanji Olympic was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and pursuant to GAR 72 , before any future nomination will be accepted.

King Chad was quick to begin.

Jasper Bale, Trending Power and Belle Whistle collided soon after the start, checking Hold Fast Bella. Struck Gold underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin injury  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G Peach regarding the racing manners of Struck Gold in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. G Peach, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Willy Can Do, Ripper Roxy, Cherokee Slider and Fake Shot were quick to begin. Zipping Dudley and Yeah Sweetie were slow to begin.

Blue Yaala – Late scratching at 8.36am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr J Whickham was fined $100.

The start was delayed by 1 minute due to operational issues.

Silver Power underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left long head tricep muscle & a dislocated toe injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
