Chief Gem was slow to begin.
Pool Dancer and Paige's Diamond collided approaching the first turn severely checking Pool Dancer. Charlize, Classic Tough and Paige's Diamond collided on the first turn checking Classic Touch. Chief Gem checked off Hoppy Bob on the first turn. It's Garrie Time and Chief Gem collided several times on the home turn checking It's Garrie Time. Classic Touch and It's Garrie Time collided on the home turn. Chief Gem and Charlize collided entering the home straight severely checking Charlize. Paige's Diamond raced wide in the home straight.
