Steward's Report

All persons attending today checked-in, wore face-masks indoors and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

One Eyed Bill was slow to begin.

Smiley Clancy and Inga Leah collided soon after the start.  Inga Sadie and Jab collided on the first turn.  Max Nipper raced wide on the first turn.  Smiley Clancy and Inga Leah collided approaching the home turn.  Max Nipper turned its head outwards and failed to pursue with due commitment in the home straight and collided with Inga Leah.

Max Nipper underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg monkey muscle injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Mark McClelland regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1), Max Nipper was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr McClelland pleaded guilty to the charge, Max Nipper was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B(1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from One Eyed Bill - unplaced in the event.

Mr Peter Inguanti failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Inga Leah for racing.  A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46(2).
