All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 28.7 degrees, and the kennel temperature was 19.9 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Sally's Return was slow to begin.

Dead Of Light crossed out soon after the start.  Johnny One Thong and Boxall Gold collided at the 300m mark.  Miss Manager and Orson Delight collided at the 150m mark.  Sally's Return faltered at 150m mark.  Dead Of Light turned its head inwards approaching the 50m mark.  Orson Delight and Johnny One Thing collided at the 50m mark.

Maverick Biggy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left flexor tendon injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Dead Of Light underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 7. Dead Of Light and was found to have an abdominal muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms Shelly-Anne Warde regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 50m mark.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Dead Of Light was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms. Warde pleaded guilty to the charge, Dead Of Light was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Johnny One Thong, a post-race blood sample was subsequently taken.
