All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 28.7 degrees, and the kennel temperature was 19.9 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Sally's Return was slow to begin.

Dead Of Light crossed out soon after the start.  Johnny One Thong and Boxall Gold collided at the 300m mark.  Miss Manager and Orson Delight collided at the 150m mark.  Sally's Return faltered at 150m mark.  Dead Of Light turned its head inwards approaching the 50m mark.  Orson Delight and Johnny One Thing collided at the 50m mark.

Maverick Biggy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left flexor tendon injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Dead Of Light underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 7. Dead Of Light and was found to have an abdominal muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms Shelly-Anne Warde regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 50m mark.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Dead Of Light was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms. Warde pleaded guilty to the charge, Dead Of Light was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Johnny One Thong, a post-race blood sample was subsequently taken.

Hasten Hilda and Affair Beauty collided at the 250m mark.

Maverick Marlion was slow to begin.

Maverick Marlion and Hot Wash collided several times from soon after the start through to the 200m mark.  Maverick Marlion checked off Maybe A Blazer at the 150m mark.  Maverick Marlion tired approaching the winning post.

Maverick Marlion underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Ivanka Tea was quick to begin.  Hey Cheryl was slow to begin.

Kazoo Giblet crossed in soon after the start.  Kazoo Giblet checked off Warm Beer at the 150m mark.  Hey Cheryl and Kazoo Giblet collided at the 100m mark.  

Evan Almighty – New declared weight of 36.6 kg, last raced at 35.0 kg.

Country Snow crossed to the inside soon after the start colliding with Evan Almighty.  Evan Almighty and Country Snow collided approaching the 200m mark, at the 200m mark and again approaching the winning post.  My Annabelle checked off Tower Bell at the 50m mark.

Defensible crossed out soon after the start checking Maverick Sandy, Oakvale Crusier and Deadly Express.  Defensible and Deadly Express collided approaching the 250m mark.  Deadly Express and Oakvale Crusier collided approaching the 100m mark.  Oakvale Cruiser checked off Deadly Express at the 50m mark.  

Audenzia was slow to begin.

Shanlyn Bear – Late scratching at 7.41am when Mr Mark Giddings reported the greyhound to have lameness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
