Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Stella.
Milana Rose and Saint Tess were slow to begin.
Powder Burn and Cheri Crownfish collided approaching the first turn checking Cheri Clownfish. Infinite Will checked off Aston Stella on the first turn. Powder Burn and Saint Tess collided approaching the home turn checking Saint Tess. Gotcha Laz checked off Aston Stella approaching the home turn. Saint Tess galloped on the heels of Powder Burn entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Powder Burn raced wide in the home straight. Gotcha Laz checked off Infinite Will in the home straight. Sharnee Rose veered outwards and marred Milana Rose approaching the winning post checking Milana Rose and Infinite Will.
Sharnee Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr R Duncan, the trainer of Sharnee Rose regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Sharnee Rose was charged with marring. Mr Duncan pleaded guilty to the charge, Sharnee Rose was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
