Steward's Report
Apache Runner was slow to begin. Apache Runner and My Name’s Jock collided on the first turn. Apache Runner and Second Pick collided on the first turn checking Second Pick, Little Nellie, Slingshot Trojan and Anita Sonic Love. My Name’s Jock and Anita’s Sonic Love collided on the first turn. Slingshot Trojan marred Anita Sonic Love on the home turn causing both greyhounds to race wide.
Slingshot Trojan underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right thigh. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Brian Hodgson, the trainer of Slingshot Trojan regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Slingshot Trojan was charged with marring, Mr. Hodgson pleaded guilty to the charge, Slingshot Trojan was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
