Blazer Edition and Tail’s Up were quick to begin.  Mac Attack, Our Solitaire and Aston Artemis collided approaching the first turn checking Our Solitaire.  Willing Wilma and Aston Artemis collided approaching the first turn.  Our Solitaire and Aston Artemis collided on the first turn.  Blazer Edition was checked off Tail’s Up on the first turn checking Zinfandel Dusty, severely checking Blazer Edition.  Inside Job and Tail’s Up collided several times in the home straight.

Blazer Edition underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Our Solitaire underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Inside Job underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a cervico-thoracic injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Wayne Borland regarding the racing manners of Inside Job in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Borland, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Establishment was slow to begin.  Joe’s Entity and My Shout collided approaching the first turn. Black Sky Limit and Aston Jive collided on the first turn checking Black Sky Limit.  Invictus Louie, Joe’s Entity and Raw Panic collided on the first turn checking Invictus Louie, Joe’s Entity, Raw Panic, Establishment and Mikado Set.  Mikado Set and My Shout collided on the first turn.  Establishment crossed out approaching the home turn checking Joe’s Entity.  Raw Panic and Joe’s Entity collided on the home turn.

An out of competition sample was taken from Tuohy on 10 January 2022 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Tuohy was quick to begin.  Urana Wendy was checked off Summer Daze on the first turn.  Classic Touch and Aston Jazz collided on the first turn checking Pride And Joy and Summer Daze, severely checking Classic Touch and Aston Jazz.

Aston Jazz underwent a post race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have an injured right deltoid muscle.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Go Saints Go was quick to begin.  Kiwi Billy and Fray’s Courage collided approaching the first turn. Aussie Bear and Aston Marley collided on the first turn checking Aston Marley and Battlers Three. Fray’s Courage was checked off Kiwi Billy approaching the home turn.  Aston Marley and Battlers Three collided on the home turn.  Kiwi Billy and Aston Marley collided several times in the home straight.

Jazz Opera - New declared weight of 26.4kg, last raced at 25.1kg.

Mac Rooster, Mclinden and Migration collided approaching the first turn.  Zipping Chew was checked off Mclinden on the first turn.  Zipping Chew brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Mclinden and Migration collided on the home turn.

Apache Runner was slow to begin.  Apache Runner and My Name’s Jock collided on the first turn. Apache Runner and Second Pick collided on the first turn checking Second Pick, Little Nellie, Slingshot Trojan and Anita Sonic Love.  My Name’s Jock and Anita’s Sonic Love collided on the first turn.  Slingshot Trojan marred Anita Sonic Love on the home turn causing both greyhounds to race wide.

Slingshot Trojan underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right thigh.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Brian Hodgson, the trainer of Slingshot Trojan regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Slingshot Trojan was charged with marring,  Mr. Hodgson pleaded guilty to the charge, Slingshot Trojan was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Stephen Whyte and issued him with a warning regarding his late arrival to kennel Weeona Jack pursuant to GAR 49.1.

Weeona Jack - Late scratching at 6.26pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. Stephen Whyte was fined $100.
