Steward's Report
Elite Patty and Patty Pie were slow to begin.
Elite Patty checked off Mystify Princess approaching the first turn. Crackerjack Pa checked off Shaggy Rufus on the first turn. Elite Patty and Patty Pie collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Jungle Baron visibly eased and shifted inwards approaching the winning post checking Twilight Harry.
Jungle Baron underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right deltoid muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs Julie Chilcott, the Resentative of Jungle Baron regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Jungle Baron was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Jungle Baron was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
