Greysynd Clipper – New declared weight of 31.7kg, last raced at 30.6kg.
Market Scooby was slow to begin.
Zap checked off Afro Puff soon after the start checking Greysynd Clipper. Affair Fantasy checked off Global Gossip on the first turn. Zap checked off Market Scooby on the home turn. Zap turned its head outwards in the home straight and collided with Market Scooby.
Zap underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an inury to the right triangle muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Aaron Debattista, Trainer regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Zap was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Debattista pleaded guilty to the charge, Zap was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
