Steward's Report
Aston Garner, Black Phoenix, Euchre John and Hartland Gus collided soon after the start checking Aston Garner and Euchre John. Darley Dynamo, Plausible Dream and Black Phoenix collided approaching the first turn. Euchre John faltered on the first turn and lost ground. Darley Dynamo and Black Pheonix collided approaching the home turn. Hartland Gus and Ice Star collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight. Black Phoenix and Darley Dynamo collided in the home straight.
Euchre John underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid and right groin injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Spearhead Joe - the winner of the event.
