Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was taken from Snow Onyx.

Forever, Snow Onyx and Kinlock Blazer were quick to begin.

Panama Dance checked off Kinlock Blazer soon after the start.  Major China, Mepunga Hayles and Mahogany Flame collided soon after the start checking Mahogany Flame and Mepunga Hayles.  Mahogany Flame and Panama Dance collided approaching the first turn checking Panama Dance.  Kinlock Blazer and Forever collided on the first turn.  Joffa's Tiara checked off Snow Onyx on the first turn.  Kinlock Blazer turned its head outwards and shifted out in the home straight colliding with Snow Onyx and Joffa's Tiara.  Mahogany Flame and Mepunga Hayles collided in the home straight.

Kinlock Blazer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and re-examined following race 6. Kinlock Blazer was found to have a laceration to the right stifle, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to representative Miss Emily Azzopardi regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Kinlock Blazer was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Miss Azzopardi pleaded guilty to the charge, Kinlock Blazer was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
