The start was delayed by approximately 1 minute to hold for Singapore Gallops.
Forrest Elbow and Ruby Yap were quick to begin.
Rattling Rosie and Hokkaido Miss collided soon after the start severely checking Rattling Rosie which fell. Billie's Gift lost ground on the first turn. Rooney checked off Hurricane Ace on the first turn.
Rattling Rosie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
