Steward's Report
Cambria Bale and Utah Bale were quick to begin. Ysabel Bale and Rosalind Bale were slow to begin.
Shima Magic, Adler Bale and Taylen Bale collided soon after the start. Rosalind Bale and Shima Magic collided on the first turn, checking Rosalind Bale and causing Shima Magic and Sazan Bale to collide. Utah Bale and Adler Bale collided entering the home straight. Rosalind Bale visibly eased and turned it's head inwards towards Ysabel entering the home straight. Rosalind Bale and Ysabel collided several times in the home straight. Ysabel Bale visibly eased and turned it's head outwards towards Rosalind Bale in the home straight. Sazan Bale visibly eased and turned it's head inwards towards Utah Bale in the home straight. Cambria Bale and Sazan Bale collided approaching the winning post.
Rosalind Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr G Dailly, the representative of Rosalind Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Rosalind Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr G Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Rosalind Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and pursuant to GAR 72 , before any future nomination will be accepted.
Sazan Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr G Dailly regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Sazan Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).Mr G Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Sazan Bale was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
