Steward's Report
Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, provided satisfactory evidence of vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination (workers) directions, undertook successful health screenings and observed social distance requirements that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
Mad Coco – Late scratching at 6.29pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Miss C Jayakody was fined $100.
Valencia Bale was quick to begin.
Percy Lanka, Hamish Bale and Slingshot Zoe collided soon after the start, checking Percy Lanka. Hamish Bale, Slingshot Zoe and Keilani collided approaching the first turn. Percy Lanka contacted the running rail on the first turn. Slingshot Zoe and Hamish Bale collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Percy Lanka faultered approaching the home turn and lost ground.
Percy Lanka underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
