Steward's Report
Stack was quick to begin. Fab Rocket and Hugo collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Hot Shaynna contacted the running rail approaching the first turn. Stack, Hamillson and Kiss Your Lips collided on the first turn severely checking Hamillson, checking Star Night. Kiss Your Lips raced ungenerously in the home straight and collided with Sagacious.
Hot Shaynna underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right quadriceps and minor abrasions on both metacarpals. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Kiss Your Lips underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Chapman regarding the racing manners of Kiss Your Lips. After hearing evidence from Mr. Chapman, viewing all available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
There was no head on footage of the back straight for this event.
